Finding and reading recipes
Start with the item catalogue. Find the item you want, open its page and expand a recipe under How to make or process it. The recipe names the workstation, input amounts and outputs.
Crafting versus processing
Section titled “Crafting versus processing”Crafting grid recipes show a 3×3 table with ingredient thumbnails, an arrow and the result. Match the occupied slots; empty slots stay empty. Repeated slots consume repeated items, and the number on the result is the amount produced.
Shapeless recipes show the same grid with Any arrangement above it. You need all the displayed ingredients, but their positions do not matter. Hover over a slot for its name or select it to open the item or ingredient group. The written ingredient list also gives names and total amounts.
A Cutting Board, Cooking Pot, Analyzer or Culture Vat recipe belongs to that workstation. Putting the same ingredients in an ordinary crafting table does not run it. Browse the workstations.
Ingredient groups
Section titled “Ingredient groups”Slots marked Any accept interchangeable ingredients, such as any matching plank. The thumbnail shows one known member, not an extra restriction. Open the group link to see its imported contents; when no member is resolved in the imported data, the slot uses a group symbol instead of guessing an item.
Groups allow recipes from different installed mods to accept compatible ingredients. Additional server datapacks can change their members.
Chances and times
Section titled “Chances and times”For Fossils machines, weighted results are alternatives. A displayed 10% result is a chance on a processing roll, not a guaranteed output after ten attempts. If the machine has an empty outcome, the recipe shows that chance too.
Processing times are base times at normal server tick speed while a machine has its inputs, fuel and output space. They are not a promise that an unloaded machine continues working.
No recipe listed
Section titled “No recipe listed”Some items come from crops, creatures, loot, trading or code-driven interactions. The absence of a crafting recipe is not a reason to try random ingredients; follow the item’s mod guide and its in-game tooltip.
The catalogue imports installed mod recipes and linked vanilla ingredients. It is not a replacement for all of vanilla Minecraft’s documentation. Optional integrations for absent mods are excluded.
Java and Bedrock
Section titled “Java and Bedrock”Java’s recipe viewer can provide another in-game route to recipes. Bedrock uses the server’s supported menus; its UI can look different even when the server processes the same recipe. The item’s full ID is the stable way to identify it across those presentations.
